Premium footwear developed for the hospitality industry, built to perform in the kitchen, the clinic, and the city. Introducing the new functional Chef line – shoes that provide reliable grip on wet tiles, are waterproof, abrasion-resistant, breathable, and comfortable enough for long hours of standing and constant movement. And on top of that, they look good too.
Chef was developed in collaboration with the teams behind Prague’s KRO bistros and Alma restaurant. The original idea was to create footwear for hospitality professionals that meets the technical and safety requirements of demanding working environments. However, the combination of comfort, durability, and clean design has proven to be equally suitable for anyone who spends the entire day on their feet.
The project was inspired directly by practice. Vojtěch Václavík, founder of KRO and Alma, had been wearing PÁR shoes to work for years and was looking for a way to offer the same level of comfort and quality to his team. The goal was to create footwear that performs equally well in the kitchen and on the restaurant floor, remains versatile, and retains the distinctive character of PÁR.
A key feature is the slip-resistant Vibram® outsole, providing reliable traction on wet kitchen or clinic floors as well as snow-covered city streets. The upper is made from durable, waterproof, abrasion-resistant leather that remains breathable despite its technical properties. The shoes are easy to clean and maintain, and feature an ergonomically shaped removable insole with a slightly elevated heel for enhanced all-day comfort. The insole can also be easily replaced with a custom orthotic insert if needed.
Chef is available in black as a standard model, while custom colourways—including the white Labo version—can be produced on request. The collection currently includes the lace-up version and will soon be expanded with the slip-on Chef Mules.
